Gardner-Webb University is located in the foothills of North Carolina about one hour west of Charlotte, NC; one hour and fifteen minutes from Asheville, NC; and forty five minutes from Spartanburg, SC. Our mission is to provide a quality liberal arts education in a "real world" Christian environment with the personal touch. Gardner-Webb was begun in 1905 and is affiliated with the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina.
The campus is striking architecturally with an "old south" look and feel along with some "neo-southern" modern touches. The Student Development Center includes a state-of the-art physical fitness facility replete with exercise machines, an NCAA swimming pool, a free weight room, and an aerobics room. The residence facilities include the University Commons living community with four bedrooms, two baths, and all the modern amenities for university living. Gardner-Webb is located 10 minutes from Shelby, NC and features beautiful mountain views, the Broad River Greenway, and a beautiful 200 acre campus. The most common statement about our campus is that it "looks the way a campus ought to look." |

Gardner-Webb University features Bachelor's programs in International Business, American Sign Language, Nursing, and Education. Our goal is to help students develop in every dimension of their life (mentally spiritually, physically, and socially). Gardner-Webb is the only school in the eastern US with a Bachelor's Degree in American Sign Language. In addition, we offer Master's Degree programs in Business Administration, Accountancy, and International Business, Divinity, Nursing, Education, and Counseling. We aim to totally develop students and their potential as they strive to reach their goals in a "real world" Christian context. |
