Application Checklist

First-Year Student

Standard Application Option

Your application file is complete and ready for review when we have received the following:

  • This online application
  • High school transcript (You will need to ask your high school guidance counselor to mail an official copy)
  • Standardized test results (SAT (Messiah College SAT code is 2411) or ACT (Messiah College ACT code is 3630)
  • Christian Life Recommendation Form
  • Essay (on screen 6)
  • $20 application fee (fee is waived if received before November 15)

Write Choice Application Option

Your application file is complete and ready for review when we have received your:

  • This online application
  • High school transcript (You will need to ask your high school guidance counselor to mail an official copy). Must be ranked in the top 20% of the high school class.
  • Christian Life Recommendation Form
  • Essay (on screen 6)
  • Graded writing sample (high school class composition, essay, research paper, etc.)
  • Admissions interview (All application materials above must be submitted prior to scheduling your Write Choice admission interview)
  • $20 application fee (fee is waived if received before November 15)

Transfer Student

If you have completed 12 or more college credits since graduating from high school, your application file is complete and ready for review when we have received the following:

  • This online application
  • College transcript(s) — Request transcript(s) from the academic office/registrar at the institution(s) previously attended.
  • High school academic record/standardized test results — Required if you have completed less than 30 college credits.
  • Christian Life Recommendation Form
  • Essay (on screen 6)
  • $20 application fee (fee is waived if received before November 15)

International Student (Non-U.S. Citizen)/Permanent Resident/U.S. Citizen Living Abroad/Dual U.S. Citizen

If you are a non-U.S. citizen, permanent resident, U.S. citizen living abroad or a dual U.S. citizen, please complete the International Student Application for Admission, available at: www.messiah.edu/admissions/international

Admissions Decisions

Once all application documents are received, admission decisions are processed on a rolling or continuous basis (and communicated after September 15th).
