Students who are serious about learning, agree with Messiah College's aim to make Christ preeminent in their lives, and appreciate Christian values are invited to apply for admission.
Please read and follow application instructions carefully. Feel free to direct questions to any member of the Admissions Office staff at (800) 233-4220 or admiss@messiah.edu
The college provides two methods for candidates to apply for admission: the Standard Choice and the Write Choice.
Both options require the submission of this online application form, high school transcript, application essay, and a
Christian Life Recommendation Form.
In addition, the following materials or activities are required to complete an application for admission:
Standard Choice Applicant must submit SAT or ACT score results.
Write Choice Applicant must be in the top 20% class ranking, participate in an admissions interview, and submit an additional graded writing sample.
The Admissions Office seeks to admit those candidates who have exhibited scholastic competence and excellence as well as those who are most likely to succeed, benefit from, and contribute to the Messiah College community.
Once all application documents are received, admission decisions are processed on a rolling or continuous basis (and communicated after September 15th).
To see what is needed to complete a file, see the Application Checklist.
Standard Choice
For students using the Standard Choice application method, the college does not require a personal interview for admission. On occasion, the Admissions Office may require an interview to clarify academic or personal issues pertaining to a candidate's application for admission.
Write Choice
An interview is required for students who apply via Write Choice application method. The application for admission must be completed and received prior to the admission interview. Appointments can be made Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM by contacting the Visit Coordinator at (800) 233-4220 or e-mail: admiss@messiah.edu (two weeks notice is suggested).
