Q.

How early should I apply?
A.
By applying early in the fall semester of your senior year, you'll be ahead of the game when it comes to financial aid and scholarship offers in the spring. Apply soon enough to take advantage of any special scholarships and/or financial incentives, and be sure to research advantages and disadvantages of early decision plans. Some schools have deadlines as early as Nov. 1.

Q.
When will I know if I'm accepted?
A.
Each college handles applications differently. Some will accept all applicants who reach a certain standard until enrollments are full. This is a yes or no, one-time evaluation. Others accept only the best applications throughout the year on a rolling basis until enrollments are full in the spring. This means your application could be evaluated several times. Most colleges have full enrollments by early spring.
