The National Association of Christian College Admissions Personnel is an association of admissions officers from 152 Christian liberal arts colleges and universities and Bible colleges throughout the United States and Canada. Founded as the Christian College Coordinating Council (Quad C) in 1970, NACCAP provides professional development, support, and encouragement for Christian college admissions officers across the continent. New divisions of membership are also underway for Christian high school counselors and graduate/seminary professionals. Our desire is to build strong bridges between all levels of Christian educational endeavor.
NACCAP is an organization committed to serving Christian college admissions officers, secondary school guidance counselors, and graduate/seminary admissions personnel. NACCAP seeks to develop the professionalism, skill, and knowledge of admissions personnel at participating institutions. NACCAP encourages member institutions toward quality in admissions and guidance counseling procedures, integrity in recruiting process, and responsibility in communication with prospective students and families. We seek to set standards of excellence for Christian college admissions professionals, ultimately advancing God's kingdom by equipping members to skillfully and responsibly direct men and women to a life of service through education at a Christian institution of higher learning.
Principles of Good Practice
NACCAP has an approved Statement of Principles of Good Practice. The statement provides an ethical framework for professional admissions activities, guidance initiatives, and behavior. As Christian admissions and guidance professionals, we desire to continually affirm that our activities will be characterized by integrity and fairness as we work with students, parents, and others in the admissions network. As an organization, NACCAP desires to serve the interests and concerns of member institutions by providing a statement and system of professional accountability.
Annual Workshop
Each year, NACCAP assembles some of the top enrollment management and guidance experts in the country for an annual workshop usually held in late May on a NACCAP member college campus. This three-day event provides great opportunities for training, fellowship, brainstorming, sharing ideas with others in similar positions, and a chance to grow and develop professionally by listening to top-notch speakers.
Peer Consulting Services
Need an advocate on your campus? Need someone to come in and look over a particular aspect of your admissions program? NACCAP peer consulting is arranged on an individual basis to bring a colleague from another member institution to campus at a relatively low cost to provide some objective third-party ideas in evaluating the admissions system and needs. Each region is equipped with a pool of peer consultants from which to choose.
National College Fairs
NACCAP sponsors the National Christian College Fairs each fall in over 75 cities all across the country. The fairs are coordinated by NACCAP and organized on a regional basis with local coordinators. This successful and growing program continues to reach more and more students with information about the opportunities available at Christian colleges and universities.
